Khalaj or Hallaj is an Iranian dialect spoken by some Kurdish communities in northwestern Iran and Republic of Azerbaijan. The name of Hallaj is derived from mystic figure Mansur Al-Hallaj. As of 2000 there were about 42000 people in Iran speaking Khalaj as their mother tongue.
