Lampung is the name of an ethnic group and its language that is spoken in the Indonesian province of Lampung in south Sumatra. The amount of speakers is estimated at about 1,500,000. Lampung is one of the over thousand Malayo-Polynesian languages and consists of two main dialects: Abung and Pesisir.
