Tausūg (Tausūg: Bahasa Sūg, Malay: Bahasa Suluk) is a Visayan language spoken in the province of Sulu in the Philippines, in Malaysia, and in Indonesia by the Tausūg people. It is widely spoken in Sulu, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay and Zamboanga City Features: Gemination of all non-glottal consonants Features: Vowel length (marked here with underscore, e.g. ba_y ‘house’) Stress: Nonphonemic Stress on final syllable.
